Invitations to listen are sent out to each family we have served about a week before the program airs. But now we are able to post the script for this coming Sunday right here.

We invite you to have your loved one remembered on the program. Just fill out this form. Remember to send us the name and date of death about ten days ahead of time so that we can get them on the program the week before the anniversary date.

March 8, 2026
Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, March 8, 2026 Covering the deaths from March 8-14, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. We are officially in March and daylight savings is also today. The weather once again reminds us of the "fog" we experience during times of our grief pain. Yes, we really do have to focus on our daily emotions and creating our own sunshine sometimes. Defining the emotion, we are feeling at the moment is half the battle. We can now work with that emotion and take its power away. Realizing we'll always feel the pain of our loved one's loss is real and with that will come some sad days. This is where the focus on the stories, memories and legacy they left behind comes in. Celebrate their heaven day!! This program is dedicated to: Jerry Zietz who died March 3, 1998 Waldo Fauskee who died March 7, 2021 Elizabeth Rose Hemmesch who died March 7, 2013 Evelyn Carstenson who died March 7, 2006 Donald “Don” Meyer who died March 8, 2024 Julia Trettel who died March 8, 1997 Stevie Reber who died March 9, 2019 Dolores Imdieke who died March 9, 2012 Dorothy Bromeling who died March 9, 2004 Michael “Mike” Miller who died March 9, 1980 Melvin Edward Fiedler who died March 10, 2024 Lester Roering who died March 10, 2021 Martha Neidecker who died March 10, 2015 Marilyn Wolbeck who died March 10, 1996 Henry Sand who died March 10, 1977 Irene Kohorst who died March 10, 1947 Harold Orton who died March 11, 2024 Judy Schmidtz who died March 11, 2018 Leona Schneider who died March 11, 2017 Sylvester Jonas who died March 11, 1984 Judith “Judy” Vogt who died March 12, 2023 Melania “Lonnie” Wenning who died March 12, 2013 Shirley Theis who died March 12, 1999 Christine Stadtherr who died March 12, 1992 Joseph “Joe” Moening who died March 13, 2025 Dale “Elvis” Hens who died March 13, 2025 Brian Hall who died March 13, 2023 Leonard Rooney who died March 13, 1997 Ken Euteneuer who died March 14, 2024 Dennis Larson who died March 14, 2016 Lambert Nathe who died March 14, 2010 LeRoy Spychala who died March 14, 2007 Lucy Schueler who died March 14, 1990 George Langenberger who died March 14, 1987 We encourage you as family and friends to show that you care by remembering these families, this week, with a phone call, a card, or a visit.

This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Welcome Minnesota March and its unpredictable weather! The weather can play a huge part in our emotional and spiritual well-being. Being aware of this can assist you in your grief pain. You may have noticed your good days correspond to sunshine and warmth, whereas your bad days, dark, gloomy and cold. We know the pain of our loved ones not being with us anymore, but we also know that that pain will become softer with time; the sadness remains, only less often. We loved! The deeper the love the deeper the pain. Celebrate their heaven day and enjoy lots of memory sharing, love and laughter! Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, Feb 22, 2026 Covering the deaths from Feb 22-28, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. As we remember and honor our loved ones this week, let's focus on their story. Who they were, what they accomplished and the legend they left behind. As we celebrate who they are, we take the focus off of our own grief pain. We know we have bad days, but we forget sometimes we have good days too! Coming to grips with the reality that our pain will most definitely get softer with time but will never really go away. We learn to live with it. Our new normal. Let's focus on sharing their stories and your memories of them. By openly sharing your emotions with a trusted friend, that also helps you move forward in your journey. Always in your heart and no one can take that away! Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, Feb 15, 2026 Covering the deaths from Feb 15-21, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Tomorrow is President's Day and as we walk our journey of loss, many of our presidents experienced the death of family while they were in office. President Teddy Roosevelt and President John F. Kennedy come to mind. President Roosevelt felt the extreme pain of losing his wife and mother, on the same day, Valentine’s Day, hours apart. He also lost two sons too death. President Kennedy lost a child, two days old. When we are grieving the loss of someone close to us we tend to think we're the only one who is experiencing the awful pain of loss. The Presidents, as us, had to move forward in their responsibilities with the pain in their heart. Life does go on and as you celebrate the loved one that you've lost, remember, you are moving forward with them in your heart, always! Sometimes it's comforting to know you're not alone. This program is dedicated to: James Brick who died February 15, 2025 Loretta Renneker who died February 15, 2022 Robert Stangler who died February 15, 2021 Edwin “Lefty” Perne who died February 15, 2011 Dora Frevel who died February 15, 1991 Genevieve “Gen” Kuhlmann-Gay who died February 16, 2025 Rosario Geschwill who died February 16, 2025 Alfred Slivnik who died February 16, 2020 Rita Trettel who died February 16, 2020 Arnie Wehseler who died February 16, 2014 LeRoy Schulte who died February 16, 2000 Norbert Hiltner who died February 16, 1995 Bill Goebel who died February 16, 1972 Gene Braegelmann who died February 17, 2018 Alvina “Sandy” Koglin who died February 17, 2010 Paul Kuklok who died February 17, 2009 Agnes Hiltner who died February 17, 1997 Donald Gertken who died February 17, 1993 Mary McKenney who died February 17, 1976 Donald “Donnie” Lenarz who died February 18, 2024 Lorene “Lori” Zierden who died February 18, 2024 Alma Schulte who died February 18, 2021 Gertrude Welle who died February 18, 2002 Norbert Toenies who died February 18, 1974 Jerome Berger who died February 18, 1966 Rose Schaefer who died February 19, 2019 Marilyn Borgerding who died February 19, 2018 Gary Vanselow who died February 19, 2005 John Thell who died February 19, 1987 Thomas “Tom” Kulzer who died February 20, 2025 Paulenia “Pauline” Hoffman who died February 20, 2025 Peter Van Beck who died February 20, 2024 Al Sanoski who died February 20, 2021 Gregory Thomas who died February 20, 2006 James H. Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, Feb 8, 2026 Covering the deaths from Feb 8-14, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Valentine’s Day, the day of love, is right around the corner. Missing someone we love dearly is never easy, but their heaven date is a gentle reminder to celebrate who they were. Grief pain is certainly not something we learned in school like spelling and arithmetic. Rather, the pain is our response to losing someone close to us to death. Their death doesn't have to be final. We know, our heart reminds us of the pain of their loss, but our head sometimes likes to tell us it isn't true. We will go through waves of emotions as we move forward on our journey but always, always, remember your loved ones are always with you in your heart! Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday, Feb 1, 2026 Covering the deaths from Feb 1-7, 2026 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. In welcoming February, the month symbolizing love, reminds us of the deep love we have for our loved ones who have gone before us. Along with your new normal, you are learning to cope with the loss of living without them. Coping means allowing yourself to feel the pain, focus on self-care and finding ways to keep their memory alive. That's where the sharing of the stories and memories comes in. By sharing those stories and memories you help keep your loved one's legacy alive and well. You have now become the storyteller. Without you sharing those stories and memories, your loved ones die a second death and their legacy dies with them. So, continue to celebrate the love you have for them and the love they have for you. Tell those stories. This program is dedicated to: Jacob Lieser who died January 28, 1996 Richard “Rich” Dirkes who died February 1, 2025 Virgil Kalthoff who died February 1, 2021 Bob Roering who died February 1, 2001 Raymond “Ray” VanHavermaet who died February 1, 2001 Helen “Kitty” Wedel who died February 1, 1986 Joe Schulte who died February 1, 1984 Peter Trettel who died February 1, 1975 M. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Grief in January may challenge us to look back at the year behind us and assess its ups and downs. Going forward now may mean you are leaving someone behind. This is never true when you lose someone you love deeply! They are and will always be in your heart. There are the three C’s to consider in healing grief pain. Choose, Connect and Communicate. Choosing engaging activities that promote your well-being, connect and surround yourself with those who love you and communicate your feelings. These three C's will help you navigate and move forward with a healthy you and your loved ones will never be forgotten and in your heart always. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. By now most New Year's resolutions have been broken or forgotten. January brings with it the January blues, starting with after the holiday blues, shorter days, less sunlight and the feelings of being all alone. To all of this, we add our grief pain of missing our loved one. This is a good time to make your own sunshine and ask yourself, what would my loved one want me to do? Maybe creating a memory album for your loved ones? Visiting a hobby store to find some treasures to make for remembrance? Watching a favorite movie that makes you laugh? Making a point to go out with friends. January weather likes to provide dark and gloomy days. Don’t let that stop you from finding your sunshine! With today being the 4th day of 2026 you may be taking it easy after cramming all the get togethers of the holiday season. We know that with the incoming New Year comes not only change but challenges as well. The pain you've experienced after the death of your loved one reminds you of the changes and the challenges you faced. This is a good time to give yourself credit. Life changes and challenges are a given. We know there is no controlling the changes, but we can take a look at the challenges and see how we can eliminate or soften. It is how we look at those changes and challenges and include them into our lives. With grief you may feel you have no control but oh, yes, you do! Honor your loved one with stories and memories and take your control back!
