Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday June 8, 2025 Covering the deaths from June 8-14, 2025 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. June is certainly here and as we move into June and all the activities we are anticipating; let's prepare. It's a little scary and sad at times to know your loved one won't be going with you physically to these celebrations. Spiritually you can take your loved one with you knowing they are always in your heart. As a gentle reminder you can take your loved one with you by putting together a small photo album with your loved one’s pictures in it or taking a favorite picture of your loved one in your pocket or purse. When you're at the celebration and become sad, lonely and/or overwhelmed, pull it out to remind you, you're not alone. Your loved one is there with you. This program is dedicated to the memory of: Wally Wedel who died June 5, 1982 Mary Bayer who died June 8, 2024 Caroline Pohlmann who died June 8, 2024 Theresa Sand Goebel who died June 8, 2019 Franklin “Frank” Litchy who died June 9, 2024 Henry Pohlmann who died June 9, 2023 Tom Kapsner who died June 9, 2021 Robert “Robb” Schmidtz who died June 9, 2019 Sylvester “Cy” Gruber who died June 9, 2017 Esther Reischl who died June 9, 2013 Elmer Frericks who died June 9, 2013 Del Ritter who died June 9, 2007 Christina Koopmeiners who died June 9, 2002 Vernon Welle who died June 10, 2024 Joseph “Joe” Oevermann who died June 10, 2024 Marcelene “Marcy” Weitzel who died June 10, 2024 Delphine Carey who died June 10, 2020 Innocent “Buddy” Roelike who died June 10, 2017 Lee Roering who died June 10, 2011 Melvin Roering who died June 10, 2001 Tony Rousslang who died June 10, 1989 Alloys “Ollie” Neis who died June 10, 1987 Anna Olberding Sand who died June 10, 1975 Wayne Zenzen who died June 11, 2023 Richard “Doc” Jones who died June 11, 2022 Edwin Hartung who died June 11, 2020 Sandra “Sandy” Kummer who died June 12, 2024 Scott Keppers who died June 12, 2019 Arnie Kleinschmidt who died June 12, 2018 Rose Voit who died June 12, 2011 John Ostendorf who died June 12, 1977 George Goebel who died June 12, 1951 Byron Cigelske who died June 13, 2024 Johnny Ray Sills who died June 13, 2009 Leo Frie who died June 13, 1987 Norman “Norm” Sterling who died June 14, 2024 Mildred “Millie” Mueller who died June 14, 2023 We encourage you as family and friends to show that you care by remembering these families, this week, with a phone call, a card, or a visit.

Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday May 25, 2025 Covering the deaths from May 25-31, 2025 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. The Memorial Day dedication is upon us. This day originated after the Civil War as a way to honor, remember and pay respect to those men and women who died while serving their country. We also use this day to remember and honor our loved ones who have gone before us. This is a day of remembering and honoring their legacy. We, the survivors, have become the storytellers. Our loved ones' legacy will die with them if we don't share and tell their stories. Memorial Day tends to be a somber holiday so share this day of observance with those who love you. Cry and laugh together with lots of hugs! This program is dedicated to the memory of: Ceil Hedglin who died May 24, 1977 Beatrice Tschida who died May 25, 2015 Veronica Brinkmann who died May 25, 2001 Leo Katzner who died May 25, 1976 James “Jim” Jungers who died May 26, 2023 Florentine Hens who died May 26, 2022 Mary Schad who died May 27, 2024 Veronica “Froney” Frie who died May 27, 2017 Jeff Trobec who died May 27, 2009 Benedict Hoppe who died May 27, 2001 Margaret Dobis who died May 27, 1998 Alquin Ritter who died May 27, 1986 Victor “Vic” Odegard who died May 28, 2024 James “Jim” Felling who died May 28, 2023 Marilyn (Notsch) Simon who died May 28, 2012 Vernie Cigelske who died May 28, 2018 Berthold “Bert” Waldorf who died May 29, 2024 Leory Stich who died May 29, 1985 Bernadine Kramer who died May 29, 1983 Thomas “Tom” Guenther who died May 30, 2023 Dale Wegleitner who died May 30, 2023 Judy Cunningham who died May 30, 2017 Mike Kuklok who died May 31, 2024 Edwin K. Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday May 18, 2025 Covering the deaths from May 18-24, 2025 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. As is normal with the middle of May, the birds are back with their musical sounds, the grass is growing, fields and gardens are being planted, and life is coming alive everywhere! Sometimes after we've lost someone, we were close to death we might not care or even notice that life is coming alive again. As we move forward on our grief journey, we start to realize that life doesn't stop, and the world keeps turning. We have choices, we can continue to allow our grief pain to be in charge of who we are and what we do or, we can take charge and live again! Our loved ones wouldn't want that grief pain to consume us, they'd want us to find peace and enjoy the life we were blessed with. We know our sadness may come and go but we also know life is worth living! Get out and enjoy nature!! This program is dedicated to the memory of: Emmy Schleppenbach who died May 4, 2020 Edward Douvier who died May 10, 1996 Julianna Kahl who died May 11, 2009 Theresa Gerads who died May 11, 1999 Raymond “Ray” Ostendorf who died May 18, 2021 Leona Voller who did May 18, 2019 Joan Raab who died May 18, 2011 Jim Tiemann who died May 18, 2010 Adella Wuertz who died May 18, 2006 Charles “Charlie” Booth who died May 18, 1972 Robert Feierabend who died May 19, 2024 Neil Middendorf who died May 19, 2024 Katelyn Nolting who died May 19, 2023 Hildegard Birr who died May 19, 1993 Louis Raab who died May 19, 1971 Ludwina Ostendorf who died May 20, 2022 Jim Anderson who died May 20, 2021 Alex Marthaler who died May 20, 2014 Gary Boecker who died May 20, 1982 Katherine Schreifels who died May 20, 1970 Thomas “Tom” Limberis who died May 21, 2024 Mary Ann Amundson who died May 21, 2023 Tabitha “Lila” Opsal who died May 21, 1996 Henry Tiemann who died May 21, 1994 Marcella Michels who died May 21, 1989 Rita Marie Hiltner who died May 23, 2023 Maddie Wehseler who died May 23, 2019 Rita Hiltner who died May 24, 2024 Bernadine Muellner who died May 24, 2012 Betty Bauer who died May 24, 2004 We encourage you as family and friends to show that you care by remembering these families, this week, with a phone call, a card, or a visit.

This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Happy Mother's Day blessings to all mother's still here with us and those mothers in heaven and in our hearts. When we experience the loss of someone we can't live without and love so deeply, the pain can be so overwhelming; it's hard to describe! Losing our parents instills in us, sometimes, the loss of self. As with losing someone important to us our whole world may shift. Let's focus our energy on all the mothers who provided the base of life and love we feel today! Celebrate Mom with memory sharing, storytelling, eating their favorite food, lighting a candle, and most definitely, stopping to smell the roses!! Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday May 4, 2025 Covering the deaths from May 4-10, 2025 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. May is here and so comes celebrations, graduations, weddings and Memorial Day. Once again as you move ahead in your grief journey you start looking ahead with anticipation and maybe even anxiety. Let's look at grief itself. Grief pain is experienced when the loss of someone close to you dies. Our whole body is impacted by the loss; physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our body has a built-in stress system which becomes activated by our grief pain and can lead to a variety of physical symptoms. Our stress hormones kick in and may lead to other health issues. Knowing is half the battle. Become friends with your grief pain and listen to what your body, mind and spirit are telling you. Take care of you! Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday Apr 20, 2025 Covering the deaths from Apr 20-26, 2025 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. With Easter now a memory and May right around the corner, you may be experiencing the emptiness that comes after a holiday celebration. Just as grief pain has its ups and downs, so do we after a celebration. All the hustle and bustle along with many family and friends being around and now the quiet? Some of us welcome the silence while others crave the busyness. Our grief has needs of its own whether with or without others around. Only you can know what your needs are. Maybe with spring here it's time to prepare your garden or flower beds. Getting out in nature can help to fill your cup and heal your heart pain or meeting up with family and friends and maybe it's time to catch up with those old friends. April showers bring May flowers. Happy Easter! After forty days of anticipation for the Easter celebration; today’s the day! If you celebrate the Easter holiday, you've walked the road with Jesus and his Mother Mary. Maybe your grief pain mirrors theirs. Whether you walked along the road with your loved one as they declined and died or you walked the road as Mother Mary, helplessly watching her son be crucified and dying. The pain of losing someone we love is real and should always be acknowledged. Jesus' resurrection displays to believers that there is life beyond death. Your loved one may physically be gone but their spirit is alive and well! Celebrate your loved ones this Easter by sharing the memories and telling the stories. Keep their legacy alive. Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday Apr 13, 2025 Covering the deaths from Apr 13-19, 2025 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. As we prepare for our Easter celebration, we also may feel anticipation and anxiety. Whether you're new to your grief pain or your loss has been a while, we always miss those we love. Holidays have a way of reminding us how much we miss our loved ones. Celebrations can be easier on our hearts if we include those we've lost. Remember, if we don't share the memories and stories of our loved ones whom we've lost, they die a second death. Planning ahead emotionally is a healthy way to eliminate the anxiety. Know there may be sadness, but love and laughter will follow. With the recent rain, spring is starting to perk up. "April showers bring May flowers". Music & Memories Broadcast for Sunday Apr 6, 2025 Covering the deaths from Apr 6-12, 2025 Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. Wow: April is certainly here!! Between mother nature and our grief we would like to think we're in control but we're not! Weather forecasts can change within minutes as our grief pain can too. One day or moment, all is well and the next moment we're overtaken by memories and emotions. How well did you recover from the weather? Our grief journey runs parallel to our normal life before the grief pain. How you reacted to life before the loss of your loved one then, hasn't changed now; it has only become a little more magnified. April brings new life and new beginnings!! Our grief pain provides a new normal and perspective on how we view our life and the world around us. Sharing how you feel with a trusted friend helps you gain control over your emotions and helps you move forward to personal growth. As mother nature's attitude came and went, our grief pain will too.
