Good morning and welcome to Music & Memories. 
 
This is Linda Sue, and I am the grief specialist at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. It is my pleasure to bring you this week’s program. This program is our way of reaching out to help families deal with those difficult days surrounding the death anniversary of a loved one. 
 
By now most New Year's resolutions have been broken or forgotten. January brings with it the January blues, starting with after the holiday blues, shorter days, less sunlight and the feelings of being all alone. To all of this, we add our grief pain of missing our loved one. This is a good time to make your own sunshine and ask yourself, what would my loved one want me to do? Maybe creating a memory album for your loved ones? Visiting a hobby store to find some treasures to make for remembrance? Watching a favorite movie that makes you laugh? Making a point to go out with friends. January weather likes to provide dark and gloomy days. Don’t let that stop you from finding your sunshine!
