Marie Weinmann

Marie H. Weinmann, age 83 of Elrosa, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s at New Perspective Senior Living in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with Rev. David Grundman. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. The Christian Mothers will pray a rosary at 5 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Marie Helen Bieringer was born April 22, 1936 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Carl and Helen (Marx) Bieringer. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School. Marie was an accountant for many years. She married Joseph Weinmann on October 2, 1965 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.

Marie was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa and the Christian Mothers. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her granddaughters. Marie enjoyed traveling with family, socializing, playing cards, and crocheting.

Survivors include her children, Todd (Janet) Weinmann of Fargo, ND, Thomas Weinmann of Champlin, and Sarah (Arjun) Sandhu of Minneapolis; granddaughters, Kathryn and Erica Weinmann and Sofia and Vivian Sandhu; brothers and sisters, Alice Winters of Andover, Betty Felling of Elrosa, Larry Bieringer of Savage, and Donny Bieringer of Sauk Centre.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Weinmann; parents, Carl and Helen Bieringer; and brother, Anthony Bieringer.

Serving as casket bearers will be Patrick Bieringer, Michael Bieringer, Mark Felling, Mark Weller, Jeremy Nietfeld, and Duane Lieser. Cross bearer will be Erica Weinmann and scripture bearers will be Sofia and Vivian Sandhu. Lectors will be Janet Weinmann and Brenda Gasser. Gift bearers will be Debi Wiegman, Melissa Felling, and Rita Hennen. Serving as honorary bearers will be Alice Winters, Gil Brown, Betty Felling, Larry and Helen Bieringer, Donny and Niyada Bieringer, and Cecelia Bieringer.
