Harold Stangler

Harold F. Stangler, age 55 of Sauk Centre, passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, May 28 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Deacon Tom McFadden officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday afternoon at the funeral home.

Harold Frank Stangler was born November 12, 1965 in Melrose, Minnesota to Thomas and Lucille (Heitzman) Stangler. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1983.  He was united in marriage to Brenda Stiles on August 7, 1987 at Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Harold worked in manufacturing for 30 years, primarily at Electrolux. His favorite thing to do was fishing and he looked forward to the weekends to enjoy his ice-cold beer.  Harold loved his family and was an inspiration to all who knew him.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Brenda Stangler of Sauk Centre; daughters, Krystina (Adam) Gaffke of St. Cloud and Marissa Stangler of Cambridge; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Caleb, and Grayson; parents, Thomas and Lucille Stangler of Freeport; brothers and sisters, Betty (Terry) Cole of New Munich, Kathy Blenker of Freeport, Diane (Dennis) Arceneau of Albany, Stephen Stangler of Albany, Mike Stangler of Freeport, Tom (Phyllis) Stangler, Jr. of Melrose, and Danny (Beckey) Stangler of Melrose.

Harold was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Stangler; and brother, Frank Stangler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
