William J. "Bill" Wallbank, age 78 of Sauk Centre, died Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 10 at Harvest Community Church in Sauk Centre. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

William John Wallbank was born November 18, 1940 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to William and Lucy (Lagasse) Wallbank. At a young age Bill moved to Fairhaven, Massachusetts where he resided and attended school. He joined the United States Air Force at age 17 and spent five years as an Air Policeman in Newfoundland, Canada. After the military, he worked at Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation in Boston, Massachusetts, and later worked in the security department at Aerovox Corporation in Boston. Bill moved to Utah in 2007 and spent four years there before moving to Arizona, where he met Jeanette. Bill married Jeanette Shutter on November 17, 2012 in Gilbert, Arizona. The couple wintered in Arizona for three years and lived in Sauk Centre for the past three years. Bill was a gadget man. He enjoyed tinkering, fixing, and repairing computers and anything electrical.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Wallbank of Sauk Centre; sister, Lucy Loud of Ogden, Utah; nephew, Eric Loud of Ogden, Utah; cousin, Peter (Mary) Johnson of Washington D.C.; two step children, Candice (Doug) DeZeller of Gilbert, Arizona and Brian (Nancy) Shutter of Maple Grove, Minnesota; four step grandchildren, Jordyn and Miranda DeZeller and Natalie and Alexander Shutter.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy Wallbank.
