Susan "Sue" Harlow

Susan C. “Sue” Harlow, age 76 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Alomere Health in Alexandria, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19 at Peace United Church in Long Prairie with Rev. Kali Christensen officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at 3 p.m. at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Susan Carol Kennedy was born September 22, 1949 in Minot, North Dakota to Charles and Blanche (Williams) Kennedy. She graduated from Walker High School in 1967. On April 8, 1978 she was united in marriage to Charles Harlow in Long Prairie, Minnesota. She worked for Eye Kraft then was able to stay home and raise her and Chuck’s two children. As the kids got older, she returned to work until retirement at the Todd County Transfer Station. Helping to take care of her grandchildren was her favorite activity. She taught Sunday School for many years at the United Methodist Church in Long Prairie. She also enjoyed ice racing in her younger days.

Sue was a member of Peace United Church, Little Sauk Legion Auxiliary, and active in POW. She was always there for her kids and grandkids and enjoyed going to all their events. Sue also enjoyed watching ranch rodeos with her husband, Chuck.

Survivors include her husband, Charles “Chuck” Harlow; children, Jennifer Harlow (Scott Roering) and Duane (Trish) Harlow; grandchildren, Hunter Harlow (Chaeli Falzone), Maverick Roering (Rylee Hecimovich), Zachary Harlow, Addison Roering, and Cooper Harlow; brothers and sister, Gary (Connie) Kennedy, David Kennedy, and Laurie (Rod) Hooker; sister-in-law, Cindy Kennedy; brother-in-law, Doug Baker; in-laws, Mike Harlow, Stephanie Muenzhuber, and Bill Harlow; and many nieces and nephews and friends she considered family.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Blanche Kennedy; step-grandson, Nathan Roering; brother, Charlie Kennedy; sister, Elsbeth Baker; and parents-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
