Myron D. Reiman, age 76 of Melrose, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Mitchell Bechtold officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Melrose Veterans Honor Guard. Entombment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. The Melrose Veterans Honor Guard will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Myron Dean Reiman was born May 7, 1950 in West Point, Nebraska to Leo and Margaret (Vakiner) Reiman. He went to country school and graduated from Melrose High School in 1968. After graduation, Myron attended Willmar Area Vocational Technical Institute. Myron enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1974. On June 11, 1977 he was united in marriage to JoAnn Tschida at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove, Minnesota. Together, they were blessed with three children, Angela, Christopher, and John. Myron farmed his entire life and also worked at Schwan’s for several years.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose and the Melrose American Legion Post 101. Myron enjoyed doing puzzles and crafts, watching westerns on TV, and spending time with his family. He had a love of the land and watching crops grow.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, JoAnn Reiman of Melrose; children, Angela (Corey) Wallin of West Union, Christopher, (Amber) Reiman of Melrose, and John Reiman of Alberta; three grandchildren, Derrick, Zachary, and Courtney Tschida; and sister, Marcene (Don) Austing of New Munich.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Margaret Reiman; and father and mother-in-law, Roman and Selma Tschida.
