Mable Moore

Mable A. Moore, age 93 of Sauk Rapids, formerly of Grey Eagle died on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Aterra Sterling House in Sauk Rapids.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 21st at the United Methodist Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Barbara J. Lindgren officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Grey Eagle.

Friends may call Friday, March 21st from 1 to 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Grey Eagle.

Mable A. Moore was born March 29, 1909 in Grey Eagle Township, Todd County, Minnesota to Clayton and Harriet (Dicks) Fuller. She married Truman W. Eldred on June 12, 1928. Truman passed away in October of 1963. They had one son, Willis. Mable married Rev. Charles W. Moore on November 2, 1964 in Paynesville, Minnesota. Rev. Charles W. Moore passed away in December of 1980. Mable was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, poetry, gardening and entertaining. She taught Sunday school for over 40 years and held many offices in her church. Mable was a member of the United Methodist Women and the United Methodist Church of Grey Eagle.

Mable is survived by her grandchildren, Keith Eldred of Burtrum; Debra (Steven) Johnson of St. Cloud; Elizabeth (Kent) Watts of Sauk Rapids; George Eldred of Sauk Centre; daughter-in-law, Mavis (Shirley) Block of St. Cloud; step-children, Joyce (Rodney) Feierabend of Seattle, Washington.; Philip (Nancy) Moore of North Carolina; 5 step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman W. Eldred, October of 1963; 2nd husband, Rev. Charles W. Moore, December of 1980; son, Willis D. Eldred, July 1989; brothers, Ralph, Hoyt, Judd, Kenneth, and Budd Fuller; sisters, Erma Karnes, Mildred Clark, Beth Dunston and Doris Nestlebush.

Casket bearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to the United Methodist Church of Grey Eagle.
