Leilani B. "Lonny" Rolfes, age 80 of Freeport, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the CentraCare Health Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport with Rev. Robert Rolfes officiating and Rev. Daniel Walz concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Parish prayers will be held at 5 p.m. followed by the Christian Mothers at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the church.

Leilani Bernice Butkowski was born August 18, 1937 in St. Rosa, Minnesota to Joseph and Edith (Coe) Butkowski. She completed through the eighth grade at a country school near St. Rosa. On May 7, 1960 she was united in marriage to Allen Rolfes at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in St. Rosa. Lonny was mainly a homemaker until her husband's death in 1985. She then began working at Jennie-O Foods for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport and the Christian Mothers. Lonny enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, and feeding the birds.

Survivors include her children, Pete (Sue) Rolfes of Coon Rapids, Paul Rolfes of Freeport, Sue (Matt) Worms of Freeport, Phil (Kay) Rolfes of Albany, Sheila (Fred) Judd of Alexandria, and Patrick (Lisa) Rolfes of Melrose; 11 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Carol) Butkowski of St. Rosa and Danny (Nancy) Butkowski of Little Rock, Arkansas; and sister, Leah (Duane) Vornbrock of Elrosa.

Lonny was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Rolfes; parents; and sisters, Elaine Blommel and Ida Kutzer.

Serving as casket bearers will be Nathanial Rolfes, Cameron Rolfes, Blake Rolfes, Allen Wimmer, Melissa Rolfes, Joseph Rolfes, Alexandra Judd, and Victor Rolfes. Cross bearer will be April Wolbeck and scripture bearer will be Amanda Butkowski.
