Kenneth Holthaus

Kenneth R. Holthaus, age 86 of Hamburg, formerly of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025 at his son’s residence in Hamburg, Minnesota.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 20 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Kenneth Richard Holthaus was born January 13, 1939 in Melrose, Minnesota to Andrew and Leona (Hofmann) Holthaus. Kenneth graduated from Melrose High School and furthered his education at St. Cloud State University. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1966. He was united in marriage to Joan Silvia on June 18, 1966.

Survivors include his son, Perry Holthaus of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Chase, Ellisa, Alix and Tyler; and brother, Tom Holthaus of Sartell.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Holthaus on February 13, 2017; parents; and son, Andy Holthaus on December 12, 2021.
