Judith "Judy" Groth

Judith A. “Judy” Groth, age 80 of Sartell, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Ecumen St. Benedict’s Care Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24 at Ecumen/St. Benedict’s Care Center Chapel in St. Cloud (1810 MN Blvd. SE, St. Cloud) with Rev. David Grundmen officiating. A private entombment will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Those who wish to honor of Judy can wear something yellow, her favorite color, to the memorial service. Lunch will be served immediately following the service.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel.

Judith Agnes Peckskamp was born January 21, 1946 in Melrose, Minnesota to Henry and Clara (Terwey) Peckskamp. She graduated from Tech High School in St. Cloud. On July 20, 1968 she was united in marriage to Dale Groth at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany, Minnesota. Judy was employed at the St. Cloud Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement. Her Catholic faith and her family meant everything to Judy. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. Judy enjoyed embroidery, scratching off lottery tickets, playing computer games and puzzles.

Survivors include her three children, Jennifer (William Jr.) McDermond of Sartell, Rebecca Groth of St. Paul, and Andrew (Andrea) Groth of Clarissa; five grandchildren, Rylen, Grant, Kate, Ethan, and Maggie; one great-grandchild on the way; brother-in-law, Vernon Maslow; and sister-in-law, Lorayne Peckskamp.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Groth on April 8, 2007; parents; brothers, Jerry and David Peckskamp; and sister, Darlene Deters-Maslow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Catholic Charities.
