Josephine Monica Kuklok was born April 19, 1936 in Opole, Minnesota to Roman and Lucille (Kedrowski) Kuklok. She was the oldest of eight children and graduated from Holdingford High School in 1954. Josephine married Raymond Waletzko on Tuesday, September 21, 1954 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Opole. Together with Ray, she was a dedicated partner where they shared a lifetime of hard work on the farm and raised six children. Josephine and Raymond were married almost 60 years until his death in 2014; also, the year their homestead was designated a century farm. She was a devout Catholic whose faith guided every aspect of her life. Her favorite memories were making coffee cake, baking, gardening, canning, butchering chickens, sewing, quilting, milking cows, assembling puzzles, coloring, and even picking field rocks which Ray made enjoyable.
Left to cherish Josephine’s memory are her children, Bruce (Jean) Waletzko of Edgewood, Washington, Ann (Jeffery) Krych of Holdingford, Duane (Denise) Waletzko of Sauk Centre, Mary (Randy) Skroch of Swanville, Mark (Kari) Waletzko of Sartell, and Jeffrey (Jane) Waletzko of Cold Spring; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Roman Kuklok; sisters, Lorraine Knoll, Diane Jarnot, and Karen Sowada; and many nieces and nephews.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 2014; parents, Roman and Lucille; infant daughter in 1957; brothers and sister, Maynard Kuklok, Donald Kuklok, and Sister Rose Mary Kuklok, O.S.B.
