Jeanne Atherholt

Jeanne E. Atherholt, age 78 of Pierz, died peacefully Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 21 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with a prayer service at 6 p.m.

Jeanne Elaine Hanson was born June 14, 1940 in Minneapolis, where she attended vocational high school. She lived in Minneapolis then moved to California. She got married April 21, 1963 in Los Angeles, California and moved back to Minnesota in 1968. Jeanne spent over 30 years working at Chuck's Grinding, Inc. in Chanhassen. She lived in Pierz for the last ten years of her life. Jeanne liked to do crossword puzzles and watch TV.

Jeanne is survived by her children, Pam (Paul) Lommel of Pierz and Douglas (Susan Weeres) Atherholt of Burnsville; siblings, Gerry Carrese of Los Angeles, CA and Lynne Riley of Coon Rapids; and grandchildren, Justin Schroeder and Skyler Schroeder.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hanson.
