Jacqueline A. “Jacie” Nietfeld, age 81 of Sauk Centre, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the CentraCare Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Rebecca Thomas officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. A luncheon/ visitation will follow the service at the church.
Jacqueline Ann Nietfeld was born October 28, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Arnold “Elmer” and Olive (Bergem) Nietfeld. Jacie resided in Underwood, Minnesota until 1993 when she moved to the Peace Farm near Meire Grove with Sister Alice Imdieke. She moved to Sauk Centre in December of 1998 and resided with Dianna and Steve Nelson for 20+ years. She worked with WACOSA which provided opportunities to those with disabilities.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, the Lioness Club of Underwood, Underwood American Legion Auxiliary, and participated in the Special Olympics. Jacie enjoyed staying active at the CentraCare Care Center, her favorites were adult coloring books, painting, and participating in community activities.
Survivors include her sisters, Mary (Jim) Pittelko of Vadnais Heights, Nancy (Ron) Sargent of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Christine Nietfeld Herr of Cheyenne, Wyoming; nieces, Jamie (Justin) Boche of St. Paul, Minnesota and Megan (Tyson) Cartwright of Laramie, Wyoming; nephew, David (Rachel) Herr; and five great nieces and nephews, Gavin and Amelia Boche, Rowan and Lucy Cartwright, and Adeline Herr.
Jacie was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold “Elmer” and Olive Minerva (Bergem) Nietfeld; grandparents, John Thomas and Rose Macke Nietfeld and Alfred Ingvald and Ida (Volen) Bergem.
A special thank you to Dianna and Steve Nelson and family, along with the staff at the Sauk Centre Care Center for the excellent care they provided Jacie over the years.
