Hilma "Tina" Weir

Hilma A. “Tina” Weir, age 90 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Getty Street Assisted Living in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Marty Porter officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre.

A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Hilma Albertina Tenhunen was born December 4, 1933 in New York Mills, Minnesota to Anders Oskar and Hilma Maria (Perkiö) Tenhunen. On February 2, 1957, she married Harold Weir at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre.

Mom and Dad farmed 160 acres southwest of Sauk Centre with 100 head of registered Holstein cattle, for 26 years before retiring to enjoy lake life in Sauk Centre and a passion of both – fishing.

Tina enjoyed farming, animals, knitting, crocheting and flea marketing. Also, the end years loved to go for drives in the country.

Survivors include her son, Duayne Weir of New Hope, Minnesota; daughter, Kathy Murphy of Augusta, Missouri; grandchildren, Jesse (Jessica) Murphy and Celeena Murphy, great grandchildren, Stella, Orion, and Maverick.

Tina was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Weir; parents; and siblings, Aina, Andrew, and Charlie Tenhunen
