Herbert H. "Herbie" Trisco, age 75 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 7 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Rebecca Thomas officiating. A family inurnment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Herbert Henry Trisco was born October 18, 1943 in Melrose, Minnesota to Joseph and Frances (Barhorst) Trisco. He graduated from Sauk Centre High School and took over the family dairy farm northeast of Sauk Centre. He was united in marriage to Cindi Schaeffer on May 19, 1995 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. Herbie continued to farm until his retirement in December of 1999. He then enjoyed cooking and baking, and loved birdwatching and driving through the neighborhood countryside. Herbie was proud of his above the ground gardens and took great joy in gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Cindi Trisco of Sauk Centre; two daughters, Laura McCarthy of Bloomington and Lynn (Mike) Morris of Brooklyn Park; granddaughter, Gabrielle "Elle" Morris; sister, Bernice (Roman) Hellermann of Melrose; brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott (Claudette "Clyde") Schaeffer, Jane (David) Lalim, and Terry Schaeffer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Herbie was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances Trisco; sister, Leona (Gilbert) Hallgren; brother, Norbert (Luann) Trisco; Godson, Darrell Hellermann; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Betty Schaeffer.
Serving as urn bearer will be Herbie's Godson, Adam Trisco. Honorary bearers will be Billy and Roger Van Havermaet and Jerry Frericks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Union Gospel Mission.
