Henry L. Tembrock, age 95 of Grey Eagle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at the Cura Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 10 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Brady Keller officiating. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Melrose with military honors by the Melrose Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Henry was born January 26, 1931 to Henry C. and Nora (Santer) Tembrock. Henry grew up in Melrose, Minnesota and graduated from Melrose high school in 1948. He worked for Omega State Bank for three years and then served two years in the Army during the Korean war where he spent his time stationed at Camp Gordon, GA. He attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in June 1957 and later obtained his CPA certification. Henry worked for the Minnesota State Auditor’s Office until he retired in July 1991.
Henry married Marion E. Rehkamp on September 26, 1959 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose, Minnesota. They lived in Elk River, Minnesota until 2014 and then moved to their lake home on Big Birch Lake in Grey Eagle, Minnesota.
Henry enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, coin and stamp collecting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 77 years.
Henry is survived by his four children, Linda Hunt, Sue Tembrock, Jan Tembrock, and Dave (Janelle) Tembrock; four grandchildren, Nicole (Joel) Giedlinski, Jennifer Hunt, Carson (Erika) and Joelle Tembrock; one great-grandchild, Jack Giedlinski; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion; son, Richard; parents; sisters, Bernice Herold, Eva Donovan, Genevieve Schneider, and Joan Bringe.
