Harvey Imdieke

Harvey W. Imdieke, age 76 of Sauk Centre formerly of Albany, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, on Saturday, May 16, 2026 after a long battle with cancer at Cura in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Rev. Jeff Manthe officiating. Immediately following the service will be a gathering with a light lunch at the Albany Jaycee Shelter at North Park, 771 1st St, Albany, MN 56307. Inurnment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Farming at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Melrose.

Harvey Wilfred Imdieke was born February 22, 1950 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Ervin and Armella (Reimann) Imdieke. He grew up in Elrosa and after graduating from high school, he continued his education at St. Cloud Vo-Tech. He worked at Breitbach Construction Company for many years before owning and operating I & S Concrete & Construction in Albany. Harvey was a hard worker and a master of all crafts which he took pride in. On May 27, 1972, he married Alvina Rudnicki and later divorced. Harvey then married Kim Bogard on July 3, 1992 in Alexandria, Minnesota and resided in Albany.

Harvey was very witty and had a great sense of humor. He loved watching westerns and football, and visiting the casino. He was a humble, sensible man and a friend and mentor to many. He had the special ability to connect with everyone he met. Harvey will be greatly missed as a father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.

Harvey enjoyed tinkering, building things, restoring cars, and Farmall H Tractors. He was especially proud of the house he built himself.

Survivors include his children, Lori (Jason) Eich of Sauk Rapids, Ryan Imdieke of Belgrade, Jeremy Imdieke of New Munich, and Jordan (Alli) Bogard of Albany; grandchildren, Coltin and Carleigh Eich, Christopher, Henry, and Oliver Imdieke, and Liam, Paisley and Nora Bogard; brother, Duane (Carol) Imdieke of Hoffman; and sister, Mary (Neil) Spanier of Belgrade.

Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Kim Bogard-Imdieke on June 25, 2016; infant son, Brad Lee Imdieke; parents; brothers, Loren and Leon Imdieke; and twin sister, Cyrena McKinney.
