Gloria M. Stone, age 87 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Fairway Pines Assisted Living in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Sauk Centre United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Laurie Boche officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Gloria Mae Adolphsen was born June 29, 1938 in Glenwood, Minnesota to Harold and Ruby (Bodeker) Adolphsen. She graduated from Villard High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Herald Stone on June 23, 1956 at Villard United Methodist Church in Villard, Minnesota. Gloria worked for Cable TV from 1970 through 1980 and then worked at Sauk Centre Clinic with Dr. DuBois, Dr. Nietfeld, and Dr. Grant as a medical transcriptionist. After the Sauk Centre Clinic was closed, she worked at the Osakis Clinic until her retirement in 2006. She lived in the family home in Sauk Centre until her marriage to Patrick Stone on March 17, 2012. Gloria moved to her patio home on Daybreak Lane and in February of 2024 moved to Fairway Pines.

She was a member of Sauk Centre United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, United Methodist Women, and served as treasurer of Greenwood Cemetery. Gloria enjoyed cooking, baking, hardanger stitchery, knitting afghans, cake decorating, playing BINGO, going to the casino, embroidery, and cross-stitch.

Survivors include her children, Warren (Brenda) Stone of Sauk Centre, Relene Stone (William Gillies) of Sauk Centre, and Janine (Steve) Cummins of Princeton; grandchildren, Ryan (Candi) Beilke, Rachelle (Craig) Gauss, Amber (Jeremy Olson) Stone, Andrea (Ricky Hupe) Stone, Rebecca (McClay) Lyford, and Aaron Cummins; great-grandchildren, Bria and Gunner Beilke, Shianne, Jase, and Rylee Hupe, and Logan and Thea Gauss; great-great grandson, Bohdie Hoxtell; sister, Diane (Greg) McConnell of Bloomington; brother-in-law, Francis (Darlene) Stone of Brainerd; and sister-in-law, Angela Stone of Anoka.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husbands, Herald Stone on October 12, 1991 and Patrick Stone on June 12, 2021; parents; brother, Larry Adolphsen; nephew, Adam McConnell; and great-nephew, Christian Adolphsen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Greenwood Cemetery Association.
