Elizabeth Krantz

Elizabeth M. "Liz" Krantz, 95, of Melrose passed away Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Pine Haven Care Center in Melrose.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2005 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Melrose with Rev. Ken Thielman.

Elizabeth Marie Krantz was born June 2, 1910 in Melrose, Minnesota to the late Charles and Louise (Wampach) Kramer. She graduated from Melrose High School and assisted her parents on the farm for many years. Liz enjoyed her employment at Swany White Bakery in Melrose. She was united in marriage to John M. Krantz on November 2, 1962 in Duluth, Minnesota. She enjoyed her "Green Acres" garden and did much canning. Elizabeth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Melrose Senior Citizens.

She is survived by nephews, Father Severin Schwieters of St. Cloud and Charles Danzl (Ann Marie) of Black Forest, Colorado, and niece, LaVerne LeMay (Marvin) of Mendota Heights.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John M. Krantz on April 16, 1975; brothers and sisters, Edward, Sylvester, Raymond, Charles, Anthony, Mayme, Regina, Loretta, and Monica.

Memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.
