Doris A. Tesch, age 74 of Grey Eagle, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 14th at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. Rev. Ron Tibbetts will officiate with interment following in Lakeview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Patton Schad Funeral Home in Grey Eagle and from 8 to 9 a.m. on Friday at the church in Grey Eagle.

Doris A. Tesch was born on November 11, 1928 to Chauncy and Vivian (Nelson) Baum. She was united in marriage to James Tesch on September 12, 1952 in Little Falls, Minnesota. Doris was employed at Northwest Casket Company, Columbia Gear and Jennie-O Foods. She lived in several places in Minnesota and resided in Grey Eagle for the last 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, her birds, flowers, crocheting and her grandchildren. Doris was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle.

Survivors include her children, Timothy Tesch and his wife, Susanna of Grey Eagle, Judy Tesch of Grey Eagle, Laurie Kulzer and her husband, Paul of Little Falls, Shirley Finken and her husband, Gary of Freeport, Jeffrey Tesch of Grey Eagle, Henry Tesch and his wife, Linda of Grey Eagle, Janet Feldewerd and her husband, Daniel of Grey Eagle, Elizabeth Proell and her husband, Kenny of Sauk Centre and Amy Tesch and her fianc+, Donny Gieske of Melrose; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Chauncy and Vivian Baum; husband, James David Tesch on September 28, 1989; son, James David Tesch, Jr.; grandson, Carl Steven Finken; great granddaughter, Faith Marie Allen; brothers, Virgil, Bill and Howard Baum.

Serving as casket bearers will be Christopher Tesch, Gary Finken, Jr., David Bromenshenkel, Dan Feldewerd, Donny Gieske and Jim Oliver.
