Chad Hoppe

Chad A. Hoppe, age 23 of Freeport, died Friday, March 14, 2003 at the Melrose Area Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B., will officiate with Rev Art Hoppe and Rev. Virgil Braun concelebrating. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in New Munich.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 to 11a.m. on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Chad Hoppe was born on May 10, 1979 in Albany, Minnesota to Francis and Judy (Burg) Hoppe. Chad worked in construction and landscaping for a short time. He enjoyed farming, his horses, nature, snowmobiling and spending time with his friends. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport.

He will be missed dearly by his family and friendsChad is survived by his mother, Judy Hoppe of Eden Valley; daughter, Brianna Hoppe of Albany; sisters, Tracy Hoppe and Trudi Hoppe of Albany; Trisha Hoppe of Watkins; brothers, Chaise Hoppe and Christopher Hoppe of Freeport; nieces, Brittany and Holly; nephew, Owen; grandmother, Lorraine Hoppe of New Munich.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Francis Hoppe in November of 1986; sisters, Tina Hoppe and Amy Hoppe; brothers, Francis Hoppe, Jr. and Benedict Hoppe; grandparents, John and Adeline Burg and grandfather, Benedict Hoppe.

Serving as casket bearers will be Mark Breth, Melvin Breth, Jason Hoeschen, Mark Wolbeck, Adam Burg, Greg Burg, Shawn Hoppe and John Burg. Serving as cross bearer will be Brandon Hoppe and Becky Burg will be scripture bearer. Honorary Bearers will be Randy Rasmussen, Keith Jacobs, Bryan Brickweg, Julie Klaphake, Bryan Klaphake, Jolene Nathe, Justin Schneider, Brian Thelen, Brad Thelen, Gary Jackels, Greg Mehr and Mike Stalberger.Mass servers will be Jacob Kulzer and Heath Burg. Readers will be Julie Klaphake and Jolene Nathe. Eucharistic Ministers will be Bob Bauer and Mary Goebel.
