Beverly J. “Bev” Newman, age 77 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 11 at River of Life Church in Sauk Centre with Pastor Kyle Peterson officiating.  A family inurnment will be held at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Beverly Jean Senenfelder was born April 28, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Joseph and Nora (Holm) Senenfelder. She attended Lyndale Elementary School, Jefferson Junior High School, and graduated from West High School in Minneapolis.  Bev was married just out of high school and raised her six children.  After getting divorced, she went to work on a dairy farm so she could be home with her children.  Bev moved to Staples and attended Staples Vocational School and earned her certificate for Machine Technology.  She worked as a machinist for over 25 years before retiring from Albany Machine Products in 2009.  In 1998, Bev moved to Sauk Centre to be closer to her family.

She was a member of River of Life Church in Sauk Centre.  Bev was passionate about animals and loved her cats, dogs, and horses.  She enjoyed going fishing and horseback riding.  She was also an avid collector of antique cookie jars.

Survivors include her children, William Newman of Savanah, Georgia, Jennifer (Mike) Kozee of Ohio, Rebekkah (Mike) Proell of Sauk Centre, Matthew (Janelle) Newman of Sauk Centre, Kathleen (David) Olson of Faribault, and Rachel Newman of Maryland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her two cats and dog.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marjorie Craft; and brother, William Senenfelder.
