Anna Michael

Anna M. Michael, age 89 of Freeport, died on Friday, April 25, 2003 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church in Freeport. Christian Mothers, Sacred Heart Catholic Aid Society and Golden Years Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m.

Anna Michael was born on December 11, 1913 in Freeport, Minnesota to Frank and Anna (Kerfeld) Borgerding. She was united in marriage to Leonard Michael on June 28, 1945 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. She was a life long resident of Freeport. Anna was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Golden Years Senior Citizens, Christian Mothers and Sacred Heart Catholic Aid Society.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Borgerding; husband, Leonard Michael on November 28, 1998; brothers, Henry, Frank, and Alphonse Borgerding and two infant brothers, and sister, Agnes Doege.

Serving as casket bearers will be Clarence Borgerding, Jerome Borgerding, Mary Jean Hoetter, Elaine Blommer, Jeanette Larson and Linus Borgerding. Serving as cross bearer will be Linda Borgerding and Pat Messer will be scripture bearer. Gift bearers will be Rita Wiechman and Marilyn Borgerding. Arlene Roelike will be the lector and honorary bearers will be Christian Mothers.
