Adeline A. Silbernick, age 96 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Cura Care Center in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kevin Soenneker officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Adeline Anna Silbernick was born December 22, 1929 in Melrose, Minnesota to William and Frances (Macke) Otte. On September 5, 1949 she was united in marriage to Virgil Silbernick at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Adeline worked side by side with her husband, Virgil, as owners/operators of Silbernick Hardware and Mercantile in Greenwald, Minnesota. The couple moved to Sauk Centre and Adeline worked as a clerk at J.C. Penny for 11 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, Christian Mothers, and the Sauk Center American Legion Auxiliary Post 67. Adeline enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, bowling, playing cards, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Mary Schendel of Prairie City, Iowa, Michael (Melinda) Silbernick of Maple Grove, Mark (Margaret) Silbernick of Greenwald, Matthew (Joy) Silbernick of Meire Grove, Jane (Brian) Hines of Maple Grove, and Donna (Floyd) Abraham of St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Silbernick on July 13, 2002; brothers and sisters, Josephine Haskamp, Rose Bromen, Eleanore Rae, Bertilla Powell, Olivia Moser, Norbert Otte, Marcella Marthaler, Joseph Otte, and Rita Hesse; and son-in-law, Al Schendel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
