We were fortunate to have Bonnie join our staff as our grief specialist in 2001. We had long wanted to offer continuing support for the bereaved after the funeral. That is when they begin to feel the effect of their loss, the depth of their grief, and are most in need of others. The bereavement aftercare service she provides includes contacting people after they have experienced a death, offering in-home visits when requested, providing grief and loss information, and connecting people to community resources. She is pleased to lend a listening ear during difficult times.

Bonnie has extensive professional experience and training in the area of grief and loss. Her own personal losses help create an understanding of how grief can impact people’s lives. As a volunteer for St. Cloud Hospital’s Hospice Program, she facilitates a grief group and provides bereavement aftercare. Bonnie also facilitates a support group at a pet hospital for people who have lost a pet.
Bonnie is a licensed graduate social worker, received her undergraduate degree in social work from St. Cloud State University and her Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Bonnie is married, has three daughters and seven grandchildren.
